Deadline to vote on Johnson and Johnson settlement plan draws near
JACKSON, Tenn. — A critical deadline is approaching for victims of Johnson and Johnson’s baby powder products.
Between 60 and 70 thousand women may have been affected by talcum products.
Next week, women who contracted cancer as a result of using talcum powder will have an opportunity to vote on an $8 billion dollar settlement plan that would resolve years of litigation.
The deadline is 4 p.m. central time on Friday, July 26.
“Voting is a very important concept. It’s a democratic process of a solicitation of a plan to see how many women want it and we believe it will receive overwhelming support,” said Anne Andrews, managing partner for Andrews and Thornton.
The plan provides a way for claimants to receive compensation without going to trial.
Claimants and potential claimants can call, 1-888-431-4056.
