Hibbett Sports hosts back-to-school supply giveaway in north Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s almost time to send your kid back to school and one local event is helping you get started.

Hibbett Sports located in the Old Hickory Mall, is hosting a back-to-school giveaway Friday.

Free school supplies and backpacks will be given away at this event.

Each child must be present with a parent or guardian to receive the supplies.

Hibbett also wanted to thank some of their sponsors which include Encare, Hugs and Hustle, Daddy and Son Towing and High Quality Ink and Tattoo Studio.

“We just want to make sure that all of the kids have plenty of school supplies and all the tools and essentials they need for school because times are hard, so we just want to give back to the community,” said William Jones, organizer.

This event started at 4 p.m. and will continue until all the supplies are gone.
