CashMaster robbed in north Jackson; subjects detained in Shelby County

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police say two subjects are detained in Shelby County after a Thursday afternoon robbery at CashMaster on Vann Drive.

Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to the store at 367 Vann Drive where a black female had reportedly robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department.

Police say they do not believe the woman had a weapon.

The store is now back open for business.

The woman reportedly fled in a gray Dodge Charger or Dodge Avenger being driven by a black male. Police say the vehicle had temporary tags on the rear.

Police confirmed two subjects were later pulled over and detained in Shelby County. Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are going there to continue their investigation.
