Sandy Morris, age 75 of Jackson, passed away on July 31, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

She was born on September 22, 1948, in Friendship, TN, the beloved daughter of the late Carmen and Jettra Vernon. Sandy was a devoted wife to Harold Morris, with whom she shared 28 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Sandy was a spirited soul, always up for an adventure with Harold by her side. Together, they traveled to sunny beaches, enjoyed cruises, explored antique shops, and attended their grandchildren’s events with enthusiasm and joy. Her zest for life and love for new experiences were evident to all who knew her.

Christmas held a special place in Sandy’s heart. She had a passion for the holiday season and was known for her Christmas decorations, particularly her infamous Christmas village, which brought joy to many. Sandy loved giving gifts and took great delight in the spirit of giving, often trying to outdo Santa himself with her generosity and thoughtfulness.

Sandy’s warm heart, adventurous spirit, and festive enthusiasm will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

Left to continue her legacy is her beloved husband Harold Morris of Jackson; children, Delina Gallagher of Water Valley, MS, Shannon Jackson (Joanie) of Germantown, Brian Morris (Sandee) of Clarksville, TN, Kristie Swink (Doug) of Rossville, TN, and Shellie Pickens (Phillip) of Jackson; grandchildren, Jake, Jackson, Jared, Waide, Madison, Owen, and Emmie; and her great grandchildren, Georgia, Porter, Margot, McKenna, and John Michael. She is also survived by her sister, Trish Davis (Dennis) of Edmond, OK.
