1973 – 2024

Jeffrey Wayne Hampton, age 50, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2024 at his home.

Jeffrey was born November 8, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Wayne Hampton and Linda Laseter. He graduated from Germantown High School where he played sports. He was an avid Ole Miss football fan and a University of Memphis basketball fan. He also loved music and music festivals. He especially loved his daughter and boys as well as his entire family. 

Mr. Hampton is survived by his daughter, Lauren Hampton; two sons, Zach Hampton and Christian Hampton; his parents, Wayne Hampton and Linda Laseter (Ken); and two sisters, Stephanie Norwood and Kimberlee Norwood.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Davis and his grandparents, Alice and Paul Corr and Velma and Charlie Hampton.

A visitation for Mr. Hampton will be from 1 until 2 P.M. on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2024 with Bro. Kevin Treadway officiating. Interment will follow in the Macon Cemetery at Macon, Tennessee. 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Christian Hampton, Zach Hampton, Ken Laseter, Jeff Hooker, Richard Davis, Larry Loomis and Michael Russell.
