Felix G. Crawford, Jr.

Felix G. Crawford, Jr., age 74 of Jackson, passed away on August 3, 2024 with his family at his side.

Felix was born on August 17, 1949, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Felix Crawford Sr. and Frances Edna Cochrane Crawford. He was a devoted husband to Mary Moore Crawford, whom he married on April 9, 1976.

Felix dedicated 40 years of his career to Stanley Black & Decker, where he retired with a legacy of hard work and commitment. A man of deep faith, Felix was a long-time member and Deacon at Parkview Baptist Church, where he served his community with unwavering dedication.

In his spare time, Felix found joy in painting with acrylics, a passion that allowed him to express his creativity. He also loved spending time outdoors, tending to his yard, and restoring his cherished 1973 Dodge Charger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Diane Rivers, Dorothy Collins, and Thomas Crawford.

Felix is survived by his wife, Mary Moore Crawford; his daughter, Melissa Crawford Hudson (C.J.); and his grandchildren, Riley Hudson and Zachary Hudson.

Felix’s warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He made friends everywhere he went and his legacy of love, dedication, and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

A service to celebrate the life of Felix Crawford, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Oakfield Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Palmer will officiate the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm, two hours prior to the service.
