1931 – 2024

Yetive Roberta Bilbery Martin, age 93, resident of Somerville, Tennessee
and wife of the late Buel Martin, departed this life Tuesday morning, August
6, 2024 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.
Yetive was born May 18, 1931 in Livingston, Tennessee, the daughter of
the late Herbert and Priscilla Bilbery. She graduated from Livingston High
School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Somerville. Mrs.
Martin enjoyed gardening, sewing and painting and will be remembered for
being a kind, gentle, caring and loving mother.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her son, Ronnie Martin of Holly Springs, MS; her
sister, Barbara Hopkins of Hemet, CA; six grandchildren, Ronnie Martin, Jr.
(Amanda) of Orlando, FL, Jason Martin (Stephanie) of Thaxton, MS, Will
Martin (Shelly) of New Albany, MS, Chris Gonzalez of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff
Gonzalez of Phoenix, AZ and Lauran Gonzalez of Phoenix, AZ; and ten
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her
daughter, Rita Headly; two sisters, Ann Bilbery and Arza Bilbery; and her
brother, Robert Bilbery.
A visitation for Mrs. Martin will be from 11 A.M. to 12 noon Wednesday,
August 14, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral
Services will be at 12 noon Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Peebles
West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Chris Gonzalez officiating.
Interment will follow in Somerville City Cemetery.
