Tournament in full swing at the West TN Healthcare Sportsplex
JACKSON, Tenn.—Baseball action continues here in the Hub City this weekend.
The first ever baseball fall tournament is into its second day at the West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex.
65 baseball teams and 18 softball teams are competing from 6 different states including Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Illinois and Tennessee.
Organizers say they’re glad to see a great turnout for this tournament.
“I think there’s 10 teams from middle Tennessee and of course, there’s about 15 teams that are from out of state, so it’s just a great job for our community. Everybody comes in, stays at our hotels, eats at our restaurants and we just love to see teams have a great experience her in Jackson” said Ryan Blake, Tournament Director, West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex.
The fall baseball tournament wraps up today.
Tournament leaders say they’re looking forward to having teams return to Jackson in the future.
