Pop Up Showers Back on Thursday, Rain Chances Continue Through the Weekend!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Some afternoon pop up showers and weak storms have returned to West Tennessee. The showers for the remainder of the day will for the most part stay south of Madison County. They will taper off this evening before popping up again Friday afternoon. Very few will impact Friday Night Football games. This weekend, the showers will become more intense and cover more area across West Tennessee. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, be prepared to encounter some rain showers and maybe a weak storm. Catch the full forecast information details coming up including how the rain will impact your Labor day weekend plans right here.

THIS WEEK:
It has been a hot start to the work week, but at least the humidity has been low. It was a dry heat for West Tennessee standards so we didn’t see excessive heat warnings as the humidity did not make it feel any warmer than the actual temperatures this week. It will remain hot on Friday before starting to cool down this weekend.

Clouds will increase each day this week and expect a partly cloudy day in Friday. The winds came out of the southwest on Thursday and stay that way until we get going into the weekend. Cooler weather will move in towards the weekend and stick around into next week.

The chances for rain are a little higher on Friday than Thursday and a decent shot for everyone is expected both days this weekend. We really need the rain as drought conditions have returned to West Tennessee and will stick around at least for another couple of weeks unless we see a good couple soaking to kick off September.

THE WEEKEND:
Cooler weather and likely some wet weather looks to be on the way for the weekend. Highs will reach around 90° Saturday and lows will hang around 70° Sunday morning. Rain chances look greater on Saturday than Sunday as now but there is a decent shot for each day with Saturday at 70% and Sunday at 60%. The winds will start to come out of the north after the early weekend cold front passes by.

Showers will move out on Monday and mild weather will look to hang around for Labor Day. If you have weekend plans be sure to monitor the forecast and be alert to any rain or possible storms heading your way.
