Tony Landers

Tony was born on September 21, 1960, in Madison County, TN, to Barbara Ann Landers and the late Charles Rex Landers. A proud graduate of South Side High School, Tony was a member of the Class of 1980. He served many years as a Madison County Volunteer Firefighter

Tony had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in spending time at the river, fishing, and growing tomatoes. He created countless memories grilling out with his family and spoiling his grandkids. Tony’s dog and best friend, Bella, held a special place in his heart.

As a dedicated mechanic with the Tennessee Department of Transportation,Tony was known for his hard work and commitment. Above all, Tony loved his family fiercely and took immense pride in the life they shared.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Alicia Landers; his children, Ryan Landers (Kayla), Kayla Roaten (Jon), Trey Thomason (Zadie), and stepson, Justin Sanders; his grandchildren, Miles, Adlee, Lilly, Clara Beth, and a baby boy Thomason on the way; his mother, Barbara Ann Landers; his sisters, Kristie Young and Cindy Landers Walters; his brother, Chuck Landers (Lori); his bonus sister, Mona Tims; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rex Landers, and his sister, Emily Dee Landers.

To honor Tony’s life, a memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024, from 4-8 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The family invites all who knew and loved Tony to join them in celebrating his life.
