‘1,000-Lb Sisters’ star arrested at Alamo’s safari park

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — A developing story following the arrest of two people on drug-related charges in West Tennessee.

According to a post on the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page, deputies were requested to respond to Safari Park off of Highway 412 Monday where a guest was allegedly bitten by a camel.

Upon arrival, investigators say they smelled suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.
According to the post, Amy Slaton Halterman, one of reality TV stars of “1,000-lb. Sisters” was arrested on charges of illegal possession of Schedule 1, what investigators believe to be illegal mushrooms, illegal possession of Schedule VI, which according to investigators is believed to be marijuana and two counts of child endangerment.

Investigators say the alleged illegal substances will be sent off for testing.

Also according to the post, Brian Scott Lovvorn was in the vehicle as well and is facing the same charges.

“In terms of justice in Crockett County, it doesn’t really matter who you are or where you’re from. This alleged illegal activity will be prosecuted in our court system,” said Stephen Sutton, Public Information Officer for the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office.

Both Halterman and Lovvorn have been booked into the Crockett County Jail.
