Bobbie Jane Tyler

Bobbie Jane Tyler, known affectionately as Jane, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Jackson, TN, at the age of 85.

Jane was born on November 8, 1938, in Medina, TN, to the late Carlie and Vera Hailey Watson.

Jane was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to her family and her home. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support were a cornerstone in the lives of those who knew her. Jane married the love of her life, Willie Dalton Tyler, in 1954, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter until Willie’s passing in 2004. She is also preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Tyler.

Jane is survived by her five children: Tommy Tyler (Marsha), Benny Joe Tyler, Stephen Tyler (Barbara), Cathy Thomas (Coan), and Kevin Tyler (Rena). She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her sister, Alice Firestine, widow of the late Richard Firestine, as well as her brother-in-law, Johnny Tyler, and sister-in-law, Brenda James.

A service to celebrate the life of Jane Tyler will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Malesus Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Malesus. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m., two hours prior to the service.

Jane’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
