Mild Week With Few Rain Chances, Fall is On the Way this Weekend!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

After a very dry month of August, we picked up a solid 1-2″ of rain for many of us for the first day of September. There are a couple slim chances for rain this week, but it will be the incoming cold weather that will be the main focus this week in the weather center. A late week front could usher in morning lows into the 40s for some of us by the weekend. Catch the full forecast details coming up here.

THIS WEEK:
There is a low pressure system spinning in Texas that will bring some clouds our way tonight and into the day on Wednesday. The system could bring a few showers but most of us in West Tennessee will not see much. The greatest chances for seeing the rain on Wednesday will be areas along the Mississippi River. Most of the rain will stay west of Jackson. The shower chances will clear out Wednesday evening and mostly sunny skies will be back for Thursday. Highs will stay near 90° until the weekend.

The coolest weather in months is on the way behind a major cold front on Friday. The front will not bring much in the rain department but a weak storm or two and some scattered showers will be possible. But if you are hoping for drought busting type rain, it isn’t coming. Friday will start out nice and the front will move through in the evening hours and the cooler weather will dig in for the weekend.

THE WEEKEND:
The coolest weather in months is coming and many of us will pick up our first chance to fall into the 40s since May over 100 days ago. The weekend looks to be dry but both mornings will be quite cool. There is a chance some of us will not reach the 80s this weekend, even under sunny skies. The cooler weather will remain as we kick off next week but some warmer weather may try to show back up by the middle of next week.
