Shooting in north Jackson leaves one man with injuries

JACKSON, Tenn. — We bring you a developing story as Jackson police are investigating a shooting that happened earlier Tuesday evening.

We received information from our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters around 6:30 p.m. regarding shots fired.

According to officers on scene with the Jackson Police Department, a shooting occurred outside a home on Commanche Trail in north Jackson.

They tell us when they arrived on scene they discovered a male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound. This victim was conscious and was transported to an area hospital.

Neighbors nearby told us they heard a multitude of gunshots come from inside the residence and then officers later arrived on scene.
