Few Showers Along the Front Tonight, Cooler Weekend Coming to West TN!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Scattered rain showers and a few lightning strikes will continue south of I-40 through 11pm. If you are north of I-40, your rain is done besides maybe a few sprinkles. Most of us picked up a decent amount of rain this evening and it was good because the next chance isn’t until next Thursday. Cooler weather will move in though for the weekend with highs hanging around 80° and lows around 50° for the next couple of days. Be sure to catch the latest radar and forecast details here.

THIS WEEK:
There is a low pressure system spinning in Texas that brought some clouds and showers on Thursday, but they were be cut off and didn’t make it into West Tennessee. We saw mostly sunny skies start to Friday and highs back up to around 90° and the warm weather will not be lasting into the weekend.

The front will come in late Friday and could bring a few showers or weak storms, but we are not expecting much. We really need the rain as drought conditions are impacting our entire region right now. The best chances for rain will be south of I-40 later this evening and earlier tonight.

The coolest weather in months is on the way behind a major cold front on Friday. The front will not bring much in the rain department but a weak storm or two and some scattered showers will be possible. But if you are hoping for drought busting type rain, it isn’t coming. Friday will start out nice and the front will move through in the evening hours and the cooler weather will dig in for the weekend.

THE WEEKEND:
The coolest weather in months is coming and many of us will pick up our first chance to fall into the 40s since May over 100 days ago. The weekend looks to be dry but both mornings will be quite cool. There is a chance some of us will not reach the 80s this weekend, even under sunny skies. The cooler weather will remain as we kick off next week but some warmer weather may try to show back up by the middle of next week.
