PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MCNAIRY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM:
Country Music Icon Trace Adkins Brings Headline SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA TOUR To McNairy County
On Saturday, November 2, 2024, MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer and TV/film actor Trace Adkins will bring his SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA TOUR to Selmer, Tennessee. Hosted by the McNairy County Department of Tourism & Marketing and the McNairy County AG Event Center, this show will be the largest concert event to date at the county’s new arena.

“I’ve got to the point where it’s all up to me now,” says Adkins, 25 years into a career filled with bold authenticity and chart-topping smashes. “I can do whatever I want … and that’s a beautiful place to be.”
Since his breakout in 1996, the larger-than-life star has sold over 11 MILLION albums, charted 40 singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart, earned numerous awards, multiple GRAMMY nominations, and garnered over 2 BILLION streams.
Widely lauded for his dynamic baritone and fiery live performance, Adkins continues his iconic legacy with his latest album The Way I Wanna Go (Verge Records). The project celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Louisiana native’s Dreamin’ Out Loud debut, and features all-star collaborators such as Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder on harmonica, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge. The album has been applauded by Billboard as “a creative tour de force that serves up the lyrical and stylistic diversity that would make his hero [Ronnie] Milsap proud,” with Rolling Stone calling it “lighthearted club-ready fun…,” and PEOPLE praising it as “packed to the hilt with hits.”
A Grand Ole Opry member for over two decades, longtime fans will hear songs from his latest release as well as his biggest career hits. It will be an evening residents and visitors won’t soon forget.
Adkins’ SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA TOUR will be at the McNairy County AG Event Center, located at 851 High School Road in Selmer, Tennessee, on Saturday, November 2nd. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., with the show getting underway at 7:00 p.m.
