Restaurant resurrects some 1999 prices for 25th anniversary

JACKSON, Tenn. — It was a blast from the past for one local restaurant Tuesday.

Perkins is celebrating 25 years with the wonderful guests of the Jackson area.

Founded in 1958 as a single pancake house in Ohio, Perkins has transformed into one of the nation’s leading family restaurants.

With nearly 300 company-owned and franchised locations in 32 states, and two Canadian provinces, they’re pretty proud of how far we’ve come.

The crew over at our Jackson location wanted to show appreciation to the guests of Jackson and surrounding areas on Tuesday, with the surprise of rolling some prices back to the price it was in 1999, when they first opened their doors at 999 Vann Drive.

“[What] a lot of people don’t know, or maybe don’t think about, is that we are one of the few full-service restaurants that actually have an in-house bakery,” said regional manager John Mark Harrison. “So we come in every morning and we bake our muffins, cookies, and pies, and decorate them and all that good stuff.”

They also had some of their delicious bakery items priced at the amount they were 25 years ago!
