Janice Susan (Wimpy) May, age 76, resident of Oakland,
Tennessee, departed this life on September 9, 2024.
Janice was born Octobert 28, 1947 in Lepanto, Arkansas.
She is the daughter of the late Gus Clinton Wimpy and
Georgia Ella Scarsdale Wimpy. Janice graduated from
Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tennessee and retired
from Commercial Appeal and FedEx.
Janice is survived by her son, Carey (Kim) Marsh; and her
daughter, Denise Marsh; two sisters, Nannette (James)
Roberts and Christi (Jeff) Morris; her brother, Glen Wimpy;
five grandchildren, Avery Marsh, Zakia Canada, Cameron
(Sophie) Marsh, Callie Marsh, and Ryan (Debra) Watkins;
two great-grandchildren Abel and Emerson Watkins; one
niece and five nephews. In addition to her family, she
leaves her companion, Jerry Jackson.
