JSCC hosts events for Women’s History Month
JACKSON, Tenn. — One local college is celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March with events almost every day.
Jackson State Community College is hosting its 7th annual Women’s History Month with panels, speakers and workshops.
Two dual-enrollment students hosted a presentation Tuesday morning on the history of feminism.
“We have so many different panels this month,” Women’s History Month organizer Dr. Liz Mayo said. “Next week we have a world-renowned musician, Joy Ike, who has been featured on NPS’s World Cafe. We have got some local women’s leaders in higher education. There will be a writing workshop for women.”
All Women’s History Month events are free and open to the public.
