PRESS RELEASE FROM DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL FREDERICK H. AGEE:
Today, Defendant, Vince Vandiver 54 years old from Milan entered a guilty plea to a 10-year felony sentence for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sale in Gibson County Circuit Court. Mr. Vandiver was accused on July 19, 2022, of delivering to sell an ounce of methamphetamine to a residence in Milan.
This 10-year sentence will be served consecutive to a 16-year sentence Mr. Vandiver is currently serving out of Carroll County which makes this an effective 26-year sentence.
We would like to thank our West Tennessee Drug Task Force for their work on this case as well as 24th Judicial District, Assistant District Attorney, Michael Thorne, who worked with our office in negotiating a global resolution for Mr. Vandiver’s cases in Carroll and Gibson Counties. We understand Mr. Vandiver has substance abuse issues which we have addressed in this agreement; however, he is a repeat felony offender and for the next two decades he is going to be either incarcerated or on probation with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Nina Seiler.
