WBBJ 7 Forecast Update

WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

High pressure is moving in and that will keep the nice and mild weather around as we wrap up the work week and head into the weekend. A cold front is coming early next week and rain chances will be increasing into next week. We will have your complete weekend forecast coming up right here.

In Jackson at the airport we have seen 42.448″ of rain since the beginning of the year, that puts up 3″ over for the year. The heavy rain we saw will greatly improve the drought monitor when it comes out on Thursday. The rain will not eliminate the drought for all of us but we are expecting some major improvements from last week.

THIS WEEK:

After a very wet end to last week and a few sprinkles Monday evening, we are not expecting anymore rain for the remainder of the work week and likely not this weekend either. We are going to see a lot of sunshine this week. The clouds may try to return later this weekend as the winds will finally start to return to the south late in the weekend. Most of the week the winds will come out of the north keeping the humidity down and limited cloud development.
