MVP of The Week Tate Surber

MVP of The Week Tate Surber

Let’s start things off with our MVP of the week and it will go to Tate Surber. He plays quarterback for the
McKenzie Rebels and on Friday night  he put on a show going 8 of 11 passing for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns.
While on the ground he had 8 carries for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns.  That performance led to a 69 to 7
victory over Bruceton. Tate Surber is 6’3 205 pounds  and has a game that displays great ball placement, accuracy and can move the pocket.
While also being a great dual threat QB being able to improvise when a
play breaks down or hurts the defense on designed runs. Just yesterday
he committed to the University of Tennessee at Martin via x. We caught up with our
MVP at practice and he spoke about his performance , what makes him one of the
best quarterbacks in West TN, and who he models his game after.

“It felt like another game just trying to take it play by play stay within myself do what im suppose to just take care of business anytime your on the field its an opportunity to get better
your preparing for a game and a couple of months that were looking forward to. There is a lot of great players out there it’s just i think my competitive nature and just the way i work hard i want to be the best and i mean that helps me alot. I know Zach likes to use the Josh Allen comparison so
I like Josh Allen a lot and I’m going to stick with that. “
That’s right, listen I’m telling y’all
I see so many traits like. This kid
has the it factor. But, if you want
to see it for yourself they host Perry county
for their homecoming on Friday at 7:00 pm.
