Leslie Earl “Les” Hamm, 83, of Hornbeak passed away 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Russell Zik and Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Brad Woody, Scott Webb, Todd Jernigan, Tim Hamm, Robby Hamm, Paul Richard Hamm and Johnny Baker.

Les was born November 19, 1940, in Obion, son of the late Charlie and Nora Belle (Brinkley) Hamm. He married Shirley Jene (Jerden) Hamm September 9, 1960. She preceded him in death June 24, 2024. Les retired from Lake County Utility District. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and going to yard sales. Les was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Sam Sinclair life group.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Richard Smith of Martin; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amanda Hamm of Springville; three grandchildren, Ashlynn Hamm of Martin, Thomas Elam and wife Bri of Union City and Eternity Alexander of Puryear; one sister, Belle Coleman of Union City; four brothers, Paul Gene Hamm of Union City, Bill Hamm of Obion, Don Hamm and wife Teresa of Martin and David Hamm of Obion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Younger.
