“The reason we’ve been doing the fall festival for a few year now is to make new friends and our church slogan is come make friends for eternity because we really feel like the only true unity is in Jesus Christ, and that for all of eternity we’ll get to enjoy him and we’ll get to enjoy one another,” said Pastor Ashley Ray.

They believe their foundation starts with the youth of the church.

“We have such a large community of children from birth all the way up to senior youth. We typically host around 75 children 5th grade and down, so we are very blessed in the children’s department; so just helping chorale the kids and giving them fun activities to participate in,” said Claire McNatt, Old Friendship Baptist Church Children’s Director.

Pastor Ray tells us he’s grateful for growth the family environment he’s blessed be a part of.

“We’re a church that’s multigenerational. I mean we’ve got older people and we’ve got parents with little bitty babies all the way down to teenagers we’re just a very blessed people in community with Christ here of all generations,” said Pastor Ashley Ray.

Old Friendship Baptist Church out grew their old worship sanctuary and they are building a new sanctuary that they will soon begin building in November, and will it fit over 600 members. One member tell us they want everyone involved.

“It’s just all the people and the fun…the different atmosphere that’s all set up for everybody here…it’s something for everybody. We’re going to have going to have a cake walk…we’re going to have bluegrass music,” said Mark Latham, Church Member.

Activities ranged from inflatables by dandy jumpers, a cornhole tournament, food, a cakewalk, and live bluegrass music by high fidelity. If you’re looking forward to getting involved with Old Friendship Baptist Church November 17th is their BBQ dinner and December 22nd is their Christmas play. Sunday morning breakfast starts at 8:30am, Sunday school is at 9:30am, church starts at 10:40am, and Wednesday night worship is at 7:00pm.
