Rutherford Junior Firefighter Program awarded $5,000

RUTHERFORD, Tenn. — Junior firefighters with the Rutherford Fire Department recently received a generous donation.

Thursday, Gibson Electric made a $5,000 donation to the Rutherford Junior Firefighter Program and expressed their love for the program. Representatives with Gibson Electric say they appreciate seeing young men and women interested in the fire service.

According to the Rutherford Fire Department, the money will go towards training to help the juniors be the best firefighters they can be. They also say the program has taken off and more young ones are in line to join the team.

The Rutherford Fire Department says they would like to thank everyone for the support and love for their Juniors, and a special thank you to Gibson Electric for the opportunity to continue building up the program.
