On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Dr. Geraldine King was called home from all pain and suffering.

Geraldine was born January 15, 1963 in Haywood County to Mary Baltimore and the late Charles Bond, the oldest of four children. Geraldine graduated college and went into education with a vengeance. She loved educating and touching young minds. She was a help and comfort to everyone that she met, she never met a stranger and never refused to lend a helping hand.

Geraldine accepted Christ early on in her life and joined Upper Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Brownsville. She later united with Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. She loyally attended, served on several committees and helped at any and all functions.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Mary Alice Baltimore; her son/nephew, Travis “Baby Boy” Baltimore; three sisters, Phyllis Baltimore, Jackie Baltimore, and Frances Baltimore; one great aunt, Mary King; nephew, Quintarius Williamson; two nieces, Rashanda Baltimore and Ashley Johnson; her girls, Takarehia, Angel, Natalia, and Bella Baltimore along with her boy, Kylan Williamson; aunts, Bobbie Young, Lorene Johnson, and Lynn Hennings; uncles, Walter King, Chester King, and Pete Johnson. She also leaves a host of loving cousins, great nieces and nephews, and a whole village of loving friends that became like family.

A service to celebrate the life of Dr. Geraldine King will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Upper Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 81 Coburn Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-6 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2812 North Highland, Jackson.
