Authorities launch investigation after pedestrian is killed in Huntingdon
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — A pedestrian was killed on Saturday in Huntingdon. This happened at the traffic light adjacent to Walmart and a nearby gas station.
According to Huntingdon police, the Tennessee High Patrol is investigating this case. We spoke with the victim’s son who was with her that day and tells us, due to the investigation, law enforcement wouldn’t allow him to touch his mother or any of her belongings upon the initial accident.
He says police told him that they questioned the driver, but no cause has been determined at this time.
“It was so sudden, I didn’t expect anything like that, and it’s really hard just sitting here after you’ve had a father that passed. Just treasure the ones that you love for now because, in a blink of an eye, they will be gone,” said Samuel Gregory, son of the victim.
This is still an ongoing investigation and we’ll give you more details as they become available.
