One new game is preparing future entrepreneurs for real-world experiences
JACKSON, Tenn. — November is National Entrepreneurship Month.
In support of budding entrepreneurs, the Venture Valley video game offers students a hands-on opportunity to experience the highs and lows of entrepreneurship and sharpens their startup skills in a risk-free setting.
Venture Valley is a cross-platform, free-to-play business simulation game that immerses players in real-world entrepreneurial challenges like product pricing, sales strategy and financial management.
“It’s a multiplayer game so you actually are competing against other people. You’re building a business, you’re operating a business, you have other people doing the same thing and your job is to out-business the other guy, just like in real life,” said Nick Night, executive producer for Venture Valley.
In a recent survey, nearly 70% of college students who have played Venture Valley reported they were more interested in starting a business after playing the game, making the game a powerful way to inspire the next generation of innovators.
