JPD responds to ShotSpotter alert on Wallace Rd

JACKSON, Tenn.—We received a call from a WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipster around 4:15 Sunday afternoon stating that shots were heard, followed by three police cars witnessed traveling towards the area of Wallace Road and Fairmeadow Cove.

When our crews arrived on scene sometime later, we witnessed a single JPD vehicle sitting outside a home in the area with lights flashing.

We reached out to JPD for further information and received the following statement.

“Yes, I can confirm we responded to a ShotSpotter alert in that area. No injuries were reported at this time. This is an ongoing investigation,” replied Stephanie Graham, P.I.O., Jackson Police Department.
