Tennessee Safari Park opens drive-through light display featuring 4.5 million lights

ALAMO, Tenn. — Christmas came early this year for one local park and they’re sharing the joy with the community.

The Safari Park of Tennessee in Alamo has officially opened their new 1 mile drive-through Christmas light show and walk-through Santa village. Guests can visit the star-studded display every night though December 31.

Park leaders say the attraction consists of a whopping 4.5 million lights which makes them the largest light display in West Tennessee.

“We’ll we’ve been thinking about it for years, but when we started this year it took us 6 months to do this and all of our staff at the safari park were wonderful and it took us a long time and was very stressful, but we got it going,” said Claude Conley, Safari Park co-owner.

Conley also says he wants this to become a new Christmas tradition for families to enjoy every year.
