Karen Klopfenstein
Karen Klopfenstein, age 82 of Henry, TN passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at her residence. Her Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, December 28th at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Tammy Blankenship of United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday and after 10:00 am on Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Karen Klopfenstein was born April 13, 1942, in Cygnet, OH to the late Ferd & Vesta Burden Gross. On September 17, 1960, she married Marvin Klopfenstein, and he survives in Henry, TN.
Karen was a dispatcher with the City of Paris, Henry Co. Sheriff’s Dept., Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Dept., and Murray State Campus Police. She was a member of Palestine UMC.
In addition to her husband, Karen is also survived by daughter, Leah Klopfenstein of Henry; sons: Greg (Mary) Klopfenstein of McKenzie, TN, and Nathan Klopfenstein (Christi Snow) of Princeton, KY; grandchildren: Chris (Nikki) Klopfenstein, Lexy Veliz, and Abigail (Blake) Garner; great-grandchildren: Chloe & Clair Veliz; Oscar & Oliver Garner; and Eva Kay Klopfenstein; sister-in-law, Georgia Gross of Arcanum, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents, Karen was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Rotroff, and brother, Ronald Gross.
