Gail Umbreit Moore

Gail Umbreit Moore, age 75, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of William Lamar Moore, departed this life Monday morning, December 30, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Gail was born October 3, 1949 in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of the late Dale Umbreit and Bonnie Muir Umbreit. She graduated from Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia and from Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was married June 25, 1971 to William Lamar Moore and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Somerville, Tennessee where she led a Women’s Bible Study group. Mrs. Moore loved to laugh, take care of her family and people-watch.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband of 53 years, William Lamar Moore; her daughter, Bonnie Bingenheimer (Nick); and two grandchildren, Billy Bingenheimer and Ruthie Bingenheimer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Moore and her brother, Timothy Umbreit.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Moore will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2024 at Christ Presbyterian Church near Somerville.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Christ Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 500 Teague Store Road, Somerville, TN 38068.
