Jackson City Council holds work session, agenda review ahead of meeting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Members of the agenda review committee met with Jackson City Council members and other city leaders to propose an agenda for next week’s city council meeting.

The meeting discussed a proposed budget amendment to recognize the City of Jackson revenue from the sale of land to Great Wolf Lodge.

Among other topics discussed was the resolution for the issuance of bonds. Committee members deliberated allocating these funds to infrastructure and emergency services.

We spoke to councilwoman Marda Wallace about her concerns on fund distribution.

“My main concern right now, I believe we’ve really done some good improvements with the police department. I think we’re still lacking in the fire department, but infrastructure is my biggest concern right now,” said Wallace.

The Jackson City Council will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 7 at Jackson City Hall at 9 a.m.
