Storage unit catches fire in south Jackson

SOUTH JACKSON, Tenn. — Fire shut down a busy street in South Jackson on Sunday.

The fire broke out Sunday night at a storage unit on Highway 45.

The Jackson Fire Department blocked off a portion of the street. Authorities said they had to run a hose across the street from a hydrant on the other side of the road.

No word on any injuries or on the extent of the damage.
