JSCC Science Ambassadors host life-size whale exhibit

JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s one “whale” of an educational exhibit on the campus of Jackson State Community College.

The exhibit loomed large Monday afternoon as students, teachers and staff made their way through the inflatable mock-up of a blue whale.

The annual showcase put on by the school’s Science Ambassadors offers a unique teaching and learning opportunity about these gigantic mammals.

“We hope the kids can come out and have a good time,” said Blake Monroe, a member of the Science Ambassadors. “We hope the kids can learn a lot, and we enjoy working one-on-one and interacting with the kids as well.”

The exhibit includes the life-size whale and her baby.
