What the Tech: CES day 2
One of the frustrating things about owning a robot vacuum cleaner is that stuff gets in the way. There’s now a solution that you not believe.
The Saros Z70 from RoboRock has arm. it will be able to put things away, pick up small items from the floor like small towels and socks and things like that. Sensors spot the item, judges its weight, picks it up, and puts it away. Robot lawnmowers can now handle steep grades, and if they spot a moving object or person, it’ll stop and go in a different direction.
Pawport is a smart doggie door. Pooches wear smart collars to open the door themselves.
Parents can set curfews from their phones, and limit which dog can go outside at certain times. The brisk it pellet grill can be fired up remotely to follow pre-loaded recipes.
‘When the grill finishes cooking, it will go into a ‘keep warm’ mode that keeps the food at a food-safe temperature just warm enough to be great and ready to eat but prevents over cooking.’
And the Electric Salt fork is ideal for people on low sodium diets. Electrodes trick the brain when eating bland food. it moves the sodium ions toward the tongue and it helps tongue recognize the ions and taste more flavor such as saltiness umami.
Some inventions never get off the ground but there are many success stories, such as this flying car from Pinnacle. Since I showed it to you last year, they’ve taken many orders and will start delivering the cars later this year. From the show floor at CES in Las Vegas, that’s What the Tech, I’m Jamey Tucker.
