Tackle Hunger with RIFA’s Souper Bowl of Caring

PRESS RELEASE FROM RIFA:

Tackle Hunger with RIFA’s Souper Bowl of Caring

JACKSON, TN – January 13, 2025 – The Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA) will be raising funds to help fight hunger in our community through the Souper Bowl of Caring.

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide movement that has been inspiring people to tackle hunger in their local communities since 1990. This movement began with a prayer in a South Carolina church youth group and has raised nearly $200 million in dollars and food nationwide in its 34 years.

Leading up to the NFL Super Bowl, February 9, local businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and individuals are invited to collect monetary donations. Donations will be used by RIFA to support those in our community who battle hunger. Together we can turn the nation’s largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring for our neighbors.

RIFA has promotional posters and bulletin inserts available to help with your group’s efforts. Please contact Denice Walton, at 731-427-7963 or dwalton@rifajackson.org for more information and promotional materials.
