I-40 traffic comes to halt after semi-truck wreck

JACKSON, Tenn. — Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, we received calls from our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipsters regarding a wreck on I-40 halting all traffic west and eastbound.

The wreck occurred in northeast Madison County on I-40 near mile marker 89 and exit 93. A semi-truck was heading westbound when ii flipped over causing both east and westbound lanes to close.

Traffic was re-routed down Law Road onto Highway 412.

When we arrived to the scene, both lanes were back open and the semi-truck was pulled off to the side of the interstate. We reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol who says they are still working to gather information.
