Ribbon cutting held for new Jackson Benefits Field Office
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Veteran Services hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday in the Hub City.

The new Jackson Benefits Field Office opened Friday for VA benefits, aiding veterans that need guidance on complex service compensation claims. This initiative helps veterans get what they’ve earned and mitigates common bureaucracy found at the VA level.

This office will create more convenience and accessibility for veterans already utilizing care from the Jackson VA Clinic.

They have 13 field offices in the State of Tennessee.
“Big, big step for our agency because veterans have to have healthcare so they’re naturally here. It’s a habitual relationship, so, along with that healthcare, they need to know benefits and services they’ve earned. We’re right next door now to help them do that,” said Tommy Baker, Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Veteran Services.
They plan to turn the galleria into an essential hub for veteran resources.
