Bargain hunters shop Relay for Life yard sale

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — Shoppers  looked through old items with a new purpose Friday at the Relay for Life yard sale.

Organizers tell us close to $700 was raised at Friday’s yard sale. All of that money goes toward Relay for Life, which supports the American Cancer Society.

The items for sale are all used.

“We give back a lot to our community here,” recycling coordinator Amber Greene said. “I do a lot with the school program with the kids, and this is one way we can kind of raise awareness for adults and educate them on recycling and reusing stuff that they are just going to throw away.”

Organizers say they saw close to 100 shoppers during Friday’s sale.
