Extreme Cold Ahead For Tonight Into Monday
Sunday Night Update
Sunday Night Forecast Update:
A cold weather advisory is in effect until noon tomorrow as we are expecting overnight low temperatures as low as around 10 degrees and wind chills ranging from 0 to around 5 overnight. The cold weather ahead is getting more into the dangerous category, so bundle up if you have to go out.
Current evening temperatures already have dropped into the lower 20s in many locations and the winds are brisk from the north around 10 to 15 mph. Winds will continue overnight which is one of the factors making it dangerously cold.
Wind chills will be falling down to around 0 by early morning. Tomorrow looks very cold as well.
Be sure to dress in layers if you have to be outside. This will go a long way towards holding off frostbite with the late night and early morning extremes. The next couple of morning will likely be the coldest so far this season.
Overnight lows will be down to around 10 degrees with wind chills around 0 under mostly clear skies.
Highs will top out to only 25 on Monday with wind chills around 0 in the morning to only around 15 in the afternoon.
Other than some scattered snow flurries Monday night into Tuesday, the next several day look cold and dry and we’ll gradually warm to the 40s by around Friday with lower to mid 50s for the weekend. A few showers look possible on Sunday with highs around 54.
