Gibson County Sheriff’s Office warns of jury duty scam
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, a scammer is, once again, calling residents saying they are with the sheriff’s office and telling them there’s a warrant out for their arrest for missing jury duty.
The scammer further states it can be taken care of if they send money.
The sheriff’s office says they don’t operate in this manner and if you did happen to miss jury duty you would be served with a show cause order with a court date, not a warrant.
