Art Gallery Reception at the Ned to Showcase Black Hair, Beauty, Resistance, and Collegiate Talent

JACKSON, Tenn.— The Ned R. McWherter West TN Cultural Arts Center invites the public to an art gallery reception on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5-7 PM, celebrating two exhibitions.

In the upstairs gallery, The Griot Collective of West TN presents “The Poetry of Black Hair: An Exhibition on Beauty and Resistance.” 

Meanwhile, the lower gallery will feature UpstARTS!, a Collegiate Student Art Exhibit displaying works  from students across universities in the West Tennessee region.

Both exhibitions will be on display throughout the month of February.

Admission is free.
