West TN AgResearch and Education Center to host Cotton Focus meeting Feb. 11

JACKSON, Tenn. — The West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center is hosting their annual Cotton Focus meeting.

The event is Tuesday, February 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center. There’ll be presentations for anyone who works with cotton and there is no cost to attend.

The theme this year is profitability and attendees will learn unique perspectives from various speakers.

“This, essentially, training tomorrow is gonna be ways that we’re gonna hear about fertility, insect control, weed control, plant population, economic outlook. I mean, pretty much everything that has to do with growing cotton, we touch on that here tomorrow,” said Sebe Brown, field crop entomologist at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center.

Hosts are expecting farmers and cotton producers from all over West Tennessee.
