Basketball coach appears in court following locker room incident

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — Thursday morning, a Crockett County High School basketball coach appeared in court.

As previously reported, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department said that an arrest warrant was issued for head coach Rick Rudesill.

This stems from an incident that occurred on February 1 in the school’s locker room following a game.

According to the statement, interviews indicated that Rudesill placed his hands on a student’s neck in an unwanted manner to demonstrate his frustration with an official.

Rudesill has been placed on suspension amid the investigation.

Not much occurred at court Thursday morning.

However, it was decided that Rudesill would return to court Thursday, April 10.
