Flowers, hearts, candy: Hub City shoppers show love for Valentine’s Day

JACKSON, Tenn. — From cards and candy to colorful flowers, Valentine’s Day is a special time to show loved ones you care.

As shoppers picked up last minute gifts Friday, we visited a local small business.

City Florist, in downtown Jackson, had colorful bouquets just waiting to find a home.

We spoke to one shopper about the story behind his purchase, who shared that he was getting flowers for his wife.

“We met at work and we’ve been together now for 22 years, so it’s worked out pretty good, and I want to tell her I love her today,” said Kelley Bane.

This is a good reminder to reach out to those you love, and not only on Valentine’s Day. You can always show your affection through thoughtful gifts and quality time.
