Rain Tapers Off by Friday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through the night. One or two thunderstorms may still become strong. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 70s by sunrise Wednesday. Patchy fog will be possible early on in the day. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 70s at the coolest point of the night.
As a low pressure system will meander over West Tennessee and move to the east tomorrow, so more rain is likely Thursday. Parts of the region have a marginal risk for severe weather tomorrow. Damaging winds are the main concern but heavy rain could lead to isolated incidents of flash flooding too. Highs will be in the middle 80s tomorrow afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms will finally taper off on Friday morning with sunny skies leading to highs in the 90s. Another weak cold front will come through Friday night bringing a slight chance for rain that could continue into Saturday but not all the computer models are on board with Saturday’s rain chances yet.
