WBBJ anchor Tom Britt reaches radio play-by-play milestone

JACKSON, Tenn. — For those of you who don’t know, WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News anchor Tom Britt does it all.

When he’s not bringing you the news during the day, he’s in the press box at the University of Tennessee at Martin calling football games.

On the list of longest-serving NCAA radio play-by-play announcers in the nation, Tom finds himself second on the list with 36 years served, just one year behind the leader, Jerry Fisher at Penn State.

Tom says there’s no telling when he will call it a career.
