Jackson police investigate homicide, victim identified

UPDATE (2/25/25): Teen arrested in connection to homicide near Conger Street

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on February 20, 2025, in the 100 block of Conger Street.

Officers were dispatched to the area around 9:25 a.m. where a witness reported a man was lying on the ground beside a vacant residence. Quenteraqus Mckinnie, a 25-year-old man, was identified as the victim.

Mr. Mckinnie suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene despite life-saving measures.
