Another Spring-Like Week, Mid-Week Showers Coming
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
After a week of some bitter cold across West Tennessee, temperatures look to be rebounding for another week of near-Spring conditions. We have only one chance for rain in the next seven days. We have all the forecast details right here.
Monday-Tuesday:
Temperatures will be warming into the mid to upper 60s as a seasonally unusual blocking pattern moves into the region. Fortunately, blocking squashes most chances of rain and storms. Weather will be quite pleasant through the early chunk of the week as overnight lows will begin to climb into the upper 30s and low 40s.
Wednesday:
Our next chance of rain in the Mid-South is coming on Wednesday night as southerly flow returns along a weak cold front. Temperatures before the front will get into the mid-70s before falling into the 40s behind the showers. A stray thunderstorm can’t be ruled out with this system.
Thursday Onward:
Temperatures will be cooler behind the front. Highs will remain near to above average as a subtropical high remains in place with the blocking pattern. Skies will again be clear with mostly calm winds.
Final Thoughts:
Enjoy the nice weather while it’s here. Long range models have been hinting at another shot of winter coming in early March, so we may not be out of the woods just yet.
